Injection Molding with High Strength Plastics

High strength plastic materials are preferred—and often mandatory—for a wide range of injection molded product for military and defense, aerospace, and medical applications. These specialty materials provide strength, toughness, and durability that standard injection molded plastics simply can’t match.

JG Plastics produces precision injection molded parts and products using a range of high strength plastics. Request a quote on high strength injection molding, or contact us to discuss your project.

Specialty Injection Molding Materials

Most high strength injection molding plastics must be processed at very high temperatures. And, because of those high temperatures, more sophisticated mold and tooling design capabilities are required. JG Plastics operates an in-house mold and tooling shop, giving us complete control over the quality, reliability, and performance of our molds and tooling. This helps us maintain the tight tolerances your designs require and ensure the precision of your custom injection molded products.

Common High Strength Plastic Materials

We work with a wide variety of high strength materials in our injection molding processes. Some of the more common high strength plastics we use regularly include:

  • Ultem (polyetherimide)
  • PEEK (polyether ether ketone)
  • PPS  (polyphenylene sulfide)
  • LCP (liquid crystal polymer)

If you’re not sure which high strength plastic is right for your products, our expert team will work with you to select the best material for your unique application and performance requirements.
